Multi-asset investment specialist Saxo Bank is increasing login security by adding two-factor authentication (2FA) via text message (SMS) soon.
In order to be able to log in to the trading platforms in the future, you need to have an updated phone number registered on your user login.
After the security upgrades, and once logged in via the new SMS two-factor authentication, you can follow a few steps to set up trusted devices and make future logins quick and easy. Alternatively, the two-factor authentication will always be required.
Please make sure to take the following steps as soon as possible, otherwise your dealers may not be able to log in to the platform:
- If you have previously reset your password online– where a SMS verification was required – you will likely have an updated phone number on file and won’t need to take any action.
- If you have NOT used the password reset flow in the past, or have changed your phone number, you will need to update your phone number, otherwise you will not be able to log in to the platform in the future.
- To update your phone number, please provide an updated and signed Authorised Dealer list for your company, stating all dealers of your organisation and their relevant contact details (email and phone number).
The new requirements will replace any previously used two-factor authentication (including third-party authenticators), if applicable. For IB-partners whose end-clients use the standard Saxo trading platform and login, Saxo will also communicate with end-clients.
