William Farrow to succeed Eugene Sunshine as Lead Director of Cboe

Cboe Global Markets, Inc, a leading derivatives and securities exchange network, has announced the preliminary shareholder voting results from its 2023 Annual Meeting held today.

Eugene S. Sunshine, who has served as Lead Director for the past five years and has served on the board of Cboe Global Markets since 2010 and Cboe Options from 2003 to 2017, did not stand for reelection as a result of reaching retirement age. William M. Farrow, III, who has served on the board of Cboe Global Markets since 2016, was appointed by the board to succeed Mr. Sunshine as Lead Director.

Mr. Farrow has served on Cboe’s Board since 2016. Mr. Farrow is the retired President and CEO of Urban Partnership Bank, a position he held from 2010 through 2017. Prior to that, he was the Managing Partner and CEO of FC Partners Group, LLC from 2007 to 2009, the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of The Chicago Board of Trade from 2001 to 2007 and held various senior positions at Bank One Corporation.

Mr. Farrow currently serves on the board of directors of publicly traded company WEC Energy Group, Inc. and on the boards of directors of CoBank, Inc. and the NorthShore University Health Systems.

He is also the owner of Winston and Wolfe LLC, a privately held technology development and advisory company.

Mr. Farrow previously served on the boards of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Urban Partnership Bank, and Echo Global Logistics, Inc., formerly a publicly traded company.

Mr. Farrow holds a B.A. degree from Augustana College and a Masters of Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
